諷刺寓言劇《動物農莊》辛辣來襲：叩問霸權困境

繼2024年強勢合作的《蜂》入圍BOH Cameronian Arts Awards 九項獎項後，平台計劃與W P RODUCTIONS再度強強聯手，推出震撼人心的諷刺寓言劇——《動物農莊》。

《動物農莊》改编自英国作家喬治·歐威爾同名小説，透過動物世界的權力更迭與革命異化，犀利映照當代社會中的霸權壓迫與個體困境。

故事講述，一群長期受人類農場主壓迫的動物們，因一場夢的啟示，發起了革命。動物們將人類驅逐，自立為動物農莊，立下「所有動物生來平等」的誓約。理想的生活似乎近在眼前，然而殘暴與專制仍在這處農莊裡悄悄蔓延……。

全新演繹注入深刻靈魂

導演羅國文早在2008年便曾執導《動物農莊》，憑藉精湛的身體演出與毒辣的議題探討，獲得好評連連，一舉奪下當年第7屆BOH Cameronian Arts Awards最佳導演獎項，又於2011年在吉隆坡重演，更在2013年受邀至台灣關渡藝術節演出，在觀衆心裏留下震撼印象。

歷經17年，此次演出集結新生代與資深演員，聚集獲獎無數的強大設計與製作團隊，全新演繹經典巨作。其中，由本地音樂人阿陸八Alu8帶來的現場配樂，亦將為這部經典之作注入全新活力。

對霸權的深刻探討、趣味絕妙的表演、強力後援團隊、令人沈浸其中的現場配樂等，種種元素共同打造充滿戲謔、歡鬧、與殘酷真相的——2025年《動物農莊》。

以史為鏡提供思維可能性

「對我來説，世界上沒有百分之百的解決方案，我所有演出都在提供一種不同選擇的可能性，像是作爲一面鏡子，從不同角度反映出多元觀點。 」導演羅國文分享。

時隔多年再次重演，讓他從現在回看過去的自己、過去的社會；從經典文學回看在霸權壓迫下的人性弱點。他無意指向特定政權，而是從更加宏觀的角度出發，這樣的霸權可以是政權，可以是階級不等、可以是權力不對等下發生的任何暴力對待。

「 在這種情況底下，我們可否仍然堅持捍衛自己的權益？」或許，這會是觀衆在看過戯後，需要自己解答的問題。

Following the success of the production The Bee in 2024—garnering nine nominations at the BOH Cameronian Arts Awards—Pentas Project is once again joining forces with W Productions to present a powerful and thought-provoking satirical fable: Animal Farm.

Adapted from George Orwell’s classic novel, Animal Farm portrays the rise and corruption of power in an animal society, sharply reflecting the oppression of hegemony and the struggles of individuals in today’s world.

Director Loh Kok Man first staged Animal Farm in 2008. With his masterful physical approach and incisive exploration of social issues, the production received widespread acclaim and was restaged in both Kuala Lumpur and Taipei within four years, leaving a lasting impression on audiences.

Seventeen years later, this new production brings together a dynamic cast of emerging and veteran actors, supported by an award-winning design and production team to reimagine the iconic work. Live music by local musician Alu8 will further infuse fresh energy into this timeless classic.

With its penetrating critique of power, inventive performances, strong creative backing, and immersive live music, the 2025 staging of Animal Farm promises a production that is witty, lively, and unflinchingly honest.

美國911恐怖事件發生以後，劇作家深受啟發，將筆觸探入日常，透過一起社會事件探討生活裡隨時發生的暴力行為：

一樁綁架案，撕開了平靜生活的表層，揭露無處不在的暴力。當人被逼到絕境時，往往會激發出內心最黑暗的一面。幽默、瘋狂、荒謬、血腥，這部集多種元素的黑色喜劇，將不斷提醒你——

每個加害者都有可能是受害者，每個受害者都可能變成侵略者。

《蜂》2006年於英國倫敦首演，後英文、日文及中文版相繼巡迴世界多地。如今，《蜂》中文版將首度在馬來西亞演出，是羅國文導演繼《赤鬼》後再度執導野田秀樹的優秀劇作，並由葉偉良擔綱製作。

繼上一部聯合打造的劇作《同棲時間》榮獲第19屆戲炬獎年度最佳戲劇後，「平台計劃」及「W Productions」再度攜手，集結獲獎無數並享譽國際的製作與設計團隊。2024年末鉅作《蜂》，將帶給觀眾瘋癲、幽默，又荒誕的驚喜。

After the USA 9/11 terrorist attacks, playwright Hideki Noda was inspired to delve into the details of everyday life and reveal the violence lurking within our daily routines:

A kidnapping case shatters the peace, exposing the omnipresent threat of violence. When pushed to the brink, even the most ordinary person can unleash their darkest side. This play, filled with humor, madness, absurdity, and bloodshed, serves as a constant reminder:

Every villain might once have been a victim, and every victim could become the next villain.

‘The Bee’ first premiered in London in 2006 and has since toured the world, with performances in the United States, France, Korea, Japan and Taiwan. The play has been translated and performed in various languages including English, Japanese, and Chinese. For the very first time, the Chinese production of ‘The Bee’ is coming to Malaysia, produced by William Yap and directed by Loh Kok Man, who returns to Hideki Noda’s work after his success with ‘Red Demon.’

This time, ‘Pentas Project’ and ‘W Productions’ have once again joined forces, bringing together an internationally acclaimed, award-winning production and design team, following their successful collaboration on ‘The Brotherhood,’ which earned the title of Best Drama at the 19th ADA Drama Awards. The grand production of ‘The Bee’ at the end of 2024 promises to deliver a whirlwind of craziness, humor, and absurdity that will leave audiences spellbound.

故事簡介\
自按摩店相遇後相愛的一對同志情侶，在父親的告別式上發現雙方竟是同父異母的親兄弟。從此裂開的情愛世界，他們被迫面對的，不只是血緣關係的桎梏，還有社會的眼光、第三者的介入、原生家庭的傷害⋯⋯

一部關於生存、框架與抉擇的故事；
一支糅合性別、愛與傷害的Salsa之舞；
他們渴望平凡，卻終究落得無所遁形。

他們努力求存，卻不得不與世界抵抗。

由馬來西亞資深導演羅國文執導、台灣新生代作家編劇林孟寰創作的台馬舞台劇《同棲時間》，將於今年九月在吉隆坡正式上演。這場舞台劇為促進台灣與馬來西亞雙邊的表演藝術與劇場文化的交流，由馬來西亞演員Lawrence翁書強、Noah葉國文及台灣演員王肇陽擔綱演出，劇情融合馬來西亞在地元素，探討弱勢群體的人權及生存課題。

團隊介紹：

演員  翁書強 Lawrence Ong

⾺來西亞吉蘭丹人，是一名中英雙語的劇場、影視、廣告∕MV、多媒體演員。於台北藝術大學戲劇藝術研究所(表演組)畢業，曾到美國紐約HB Studio - Uta Hagen 及 Atlantic Acting School 學習表演。⽬前是上海溫哥華電影學院 (SHVFS)影視表演系主任及⾼級導師 (2019-2023)。

演員  王肇陽 Wang Chao-Yang (台灣)
台灣彰化人，畢業於私立中國文化大學戲劇學系，主修表演。2019年入圍台北電影節「非常新人企劃」。曾經被劇場震動過靈魂，也希望能成為撼動別人的人，持續表演，成為自己並尋找支持生活的可能性。

演員  葉國文 Noah Yap

舞台劇演員∕高空舞者∕寵物美容師∕頌缽音療∕刺青∕玩具收藏家等。是個多才多藝，跨越不同界限的斜扛青年。2022年憑《女人最痛之四朵金花》榮獲戲炬獎最佳男演員（配角）。

編劇  林孟寰（台灣）
台灣新生代劇作家，台大戲劇學系劇本創作碩士，2019-2020台中國家歌劇院駐館藝術家，「宅故事創作 Story Nerds Works」故事總監。曾獲台北文學獎劇本獎、香港青年文學獎、台北兒童藝術節兒童劇本獎等，出版著作有《彩石遺事》、《方舟三部曲》等，舞台作品有《野狼犬之家》、《前進吧！方舟》等，並以電視劇《通靈少女》入圍台灣電視金鐘獎迷你劇集項目最佳編劇。

導演  羅國文

劇場導演、演員、燈光設計師、舞台設計師、戲劇表演導師及「平台計劃/劇團」藝術總監。2005年榮獲美國「亞洲文化協會」獎學金遠赴紐約遊學半年。曾獲馬來西亞金馬崙藝術大獎最佳導演、最佳燈光設計、最佳舞台設計。多次受邀至日本、德國、韓國、台灣、上海、紐約等世界各地參與交流計畫並演出，作品包括《動物農莊》、《夢的故事》、《錯誤的悲喜劇》、《劍魚·妾》等。

劇場導演、編劇、製作人、演員，現任馬來西亞電台总监。2010年發起與製作「愛的系列」舞台劇，作品如《等愛》、《戀愛》、《錯愛》等廣受好評，並榮獲戲炬獎最佳原創劇本。長期深耕同志題材劇作，包括《PEOPLE LIKE US》、《LTR》、《BFF》等，皆創下場場爆滿的佳績。2020年於新冠疫情期間創辦網絡劇場【雲劇場】（現稱CloudJoi），除了讓馬來西亞及海外表演藝術能在線上演出，也積極拓展在地表演藝術。

劍魚群起襲擊獅城，戰士相繼陣亡， 

小男孩獻計平息災厄，最後卻不幸殞命；
新任國王統御獅城，為了迎娶貌美的大臣之女，
應允改革朝綱，赦免無辜的人。
然而皇后嫉恨誣陷，妃妾遭受酷刑而死。
獅城境內人禍連連，古老的誓約開始失效，
王朝覆滅之際，國王與人民所選擇的道路，是否還能相合？

《劍魚◉妾》故事取材自馬來古典文學作品《馬來紀年》（Sejarah Melayu）。劍魚的襲擊、領土的利益糾葛；服從與忍耐、審判與戰爭——除了包含原有的歷史與神話元素，劇作家紀傳財也融入了當代社會困境、政治博弈的「密語」，故事已不受時空限制，連接了現實與寓言，講述在位者與民間不可分割的命運糾葛。

2016 年，平台計劃創團第十年，承接並翻譯The Swordfish, Then the Concubine 劇作文本，中文版《劍魚◉妾》在馬演出。懷著探索本土多元文化、開創表演美學的初心，也因此獲得了巨大的迴響。

人心牽動王朝興衰的敘事，遙遠的神話已歷經蛻變。暌違5 年，導演羅國文再次修訂，平台計劃重製極具口碑的劇作，用偶、面具組成戲劇語言，以馬來傳統民謠《Ulek Mayang》、皮影動畫串合故事，希望再次呈現想像力豐富、屬於馬來西亞人的民間傳奇。

The Lion City is attacked by swordfish. Warriors are getting killed one after another.
A little boy comes up with a plan that ends the disaster. Yet, he is rewarded with death.
A new king rules the Lion City. In order to marry the beautiful daughter of a minister, he promises reform and to pardon the innocent.
However, the queen becomes jealous. And the concubine is framed and then sentenced to a torturous death.
Human disasters befall the Lion City. An ancient covenant has been broken.
As the kingdom plummets to its destruction, do the paths chosen by the king and by the people still align?

The story of The Swordfish, Then the Concubine is based on that of the classical Malay literature work Sejarah Melayu. Attacks by swordfish, feudal obeisance, punishment by impalement and war … the play is full of historical and mythological elements. Playwright Kee Thuan Chye also alludes to contemporary social predicaments, political games and “secret codes”. This story transcends time and space, merges reality and parable, and chronicles the inseparable fate that binds rulers and subjects.

In 2016, ten years since its founding, Pentas Project undertook and translated the text of The Swordfish, Then the Concubine into Mandarin, and premiered the show in Malaysia. For its exploration of local cultural diversity and its showcasing of innovative performance aesthetics, the show garnered positive response.

Over time, however, even a myth of long ago can undergo evolution. Now, five years since its Chinese premiere in Malaysia, the play has been revised by Kee Thuan Chye and director Loh Kok Man has painted his production with fresh colours. PERFORMANCE SYNOPSIS

Two stories collided coincidently,
In farce and poignancy,
Transit between humour and melancholy,
When you are desirous of an ideal,
You defy the negligence,
Onwards with the endless search…

Due to the mismanagement of the theatre personnel, two theatre companies were forced to rehearse at the same place. One rehearses the poignant play about an interracial relationship that was separated by the borders during the modern history, while another story was adapted from one of the greatest poet Tao Yuanming’s comedy- A depressed and anxious fisherman trespassed the Peach Blossom Land by accident, isolated from the troubled world yet insisted to go home. As the two groups struggle for control of the stage, resulting in chaos and numerous comic squabbles, their contrasting worlds begin to come together, creating surprising new layers of meaning that are tragically moving and comically erroneous.

In 1986, Performance Workshop has successfully set an important milestone for Taiwan contemporary theatre scene by challenging the boundaries of tragedy and comedy with the Secret Love of Peach Blossom Land. This year, with the renewed focus on theatre classics, Pentas Project Theatre Production will be adapting this world-renowned masterwork into multi-lingual context with an array of cross-cultural casts. Secret Love will be taking on the Malay adaptation, while Peach Blossom Land remained its Chinese interpretation. A display of diversity can be seen through the three languages (English, Chinese and Malay) performed, as well as the cross-border collaboration from theatre, TV and film industries, in portrayal of the omission and perseverance of our very own Malaysia society.


【演出簡介】

戲裡嬉謔笑鬧，忽而哀傷落寞，
面對理想，必須對抗遺忘，不斷地探問與追尋——
雖然我們永遠都不知道追尋的盡頭有什麼。
荒誕故事與真實人生輪番上演，
當我們笑看台上的一切，回過神來卻已熱淚盈眶。

一則講述一段近代歷史洪流中分隔兩地的異族戀情，另一則改編自陶淵明詩作的喜劇，苦悶憂愁的漁夫誤闖桃花源，隔離於亂世之外卻執意要回家。因為劇場管理員安排失誤，兩個劇組被迫在同一個場地排練。期間佈景混亂、對白交錯，兩個古今差異的主題竟意外合拍，重疊成非一般的悲喜劇。

1986年，表演工作坊以《暗戀桃花源》叩問悲劇與喜劇的界線，跳脫劇場敘述框架，成為台灣當代劇場重要的里程碑。2018年，平台計劃立基劇場經典，由羅國文導演改編的《錯誤的悲喜劇》充分展演本土特色，《暗戀》將以馬來文呈現，《桃花源》則維持中文演繹，兩個劇組調整排演過程中以英語交談。這樣的多元表演語境，由中巫英文劇場演員以及本地影視圈藝人跨界參與，共同詮釋屬於馬來西亞社會的錯過與追尋。

Sinopsis

Disebabkan pengurusan kerja yang tidak cekap oleh seorang pengurus panggung, dua kumpulan teater terpaksa mengadakan latihan di ruang yang sama pada waktu yang sama. Kumpulan teater Melayu berlatih teater tragedi, Secret Love mengenai hubungan cinta berlainan kaum yang terpisah akibat perang dan persempadanan, dan kumpulan teater Cina mementaskan teater komedi Peach Blossom Land yang diadaptasi daripada karya puisi klasik China, Tao Yuanming. Kisah komedi ini adalah mengenai seorang nelayan yang kemurungan dan memasuki alam Peach Blossom Land secara tidak sengaja. Walaupun dipinggirkan di dunianya, dia tetap mahu pulang ke tempat asalnya.

Sedang dua kumpulan ini berusaha untuk terus mengadakan latihan di ruang yang sama, ia mencetuskan huru hara dan pertelingkahan. Namun, persembahan mereka yang walaupun tampak berlainan akhirnya turut terjalin dengan indah – menghasilkan lapisan makna yang berbeza serta memberi makna baharu tentang kepiluan dan kegembiraan.

Pada tahun ini, Pentas Project Theatre Production akan mementaskan sebuah adaptasi segar daripada naskhah teater klasik, Secret Love of Peach Blossom Land, dengan barisan pelakon pelbagai kaum. Persembahan dalam tiga bahasa yang bertajuk The Tragicomedy of Errors adalah diadaptasi daripada naskhah Secret Love of Peach Blossom Land karya asal daripada produksi The Performance Workshop. Teater ini akan dipentaskan di Pentas 1, Kuala Lumpur Performing Arts Centre pada 18 – 21 Oktober 2018.
