多元文化和語境一直是馬來西亞獨有的原生特殊環境，東西方文化的歧意和衝突形成的混交特色，催生出風格獨具的藝術形式流派。「平台計劃」的成立緣起，就是冀望從這個多元文化器皿中汲取養分，以多元交流凝視自身、瞭望國際。

「平台計劃」成立於2005年。「平台」，即平面的舞台，是一個沒有瓦牆與界限的交流場域。

「平台計劃」是一個開放的劇場合作計畫，藉由多元藝術形式的凝視、擦撞、實驗和媾和，醞造多元不設限的藝術交流。「平台計劃」也是一個移動的魔術游擊隊，成員們的養成修持，囊括表演藝術、錄像、建築、舞踏、詩等形式各異的藝術專精，他們在其中呼吸、思考、創作，自由而相容。團員們在不斷加強自身專業裝備之餘，也常跨足平台以外，積極探索形式各異的藝術交流合作，尋求藝術專精的躍進，打造幻詭迷人的藝術魔法。

「平台計劃」成立以來，除固定年度新作發表和國內外藝術交流計劃以外，2008年起，以系列表演藝術工作坊的引介，逐步搭建藝術教育與交流推廣的橋樑。

Malaysia is a multi-racial and multi-cultural country with differences in language, religion and ethnicity. And these differences have combined and influencing each other, eventually influenced the emergence of diverse art forms and streams that are unique. The establishment of Pentas Project hopes to get its nutrients from the multi-cultural society, and looking into ourselves while gazing the world.

• Founded in 2005 by Loh Kok Man.
• “Pentas Project” in Chinese would be 「平台計劃」 (ping tai ji hua). The first two characters「平台」 (ping tai), indicate a flat stage.
• “Pentas Project” envisions a stage without walls or boundaries, a stage that can be more transparent and equal, a stage for interactions and understandings that can strengthen the relationships between different cultures and realms.

Objectives of Pentas Project
I. To build a mature, contemporary and multi-faceted stage which encourages interactions and openness.
II. To learn, explore, understand and open up new horizons and collaborative space in theatre arts.
III. To respect and support differences through collaboration, interaction, sharing and learning, and furthermore, to appreciate the uniqueness of diversities in our society and field.

The Lost and the Ecliptic:
ten memorandums of a devastated and crippled amnesiac
• Staged from 4 - 14 October 2007 in Pentas 2, Kuala Lumpur Performing Arts Centre (KLPac).
• Directed by Loh Kok Man. This is collaboration with emerging and established visual artists, writers, composers and performing artists in Malaysia, such as, Amelia Tan, Au Sow Yee, Caecar Chong, Ng Chor Guan, Shanthini Venugopal, Steve Goh and Tan Yan Tee.
• Won Best Lighting Design in the 6th BOH Cameronian Arts Awards; and
• Nominated for Best Director and Best Set Design

2006
Break-ing : Pentas Theatre Collaboration Project 2006
• A collaboration with Alternative Stage and Instant Café Theatre Company
• Won Best Original Script (English) for “Silence, please” written by Jo Kukathas in the 2006 BOH Cameronian Arts Award; and
• Nominated for Best Group Performance [“Repot (Mind+Mine)” and [“Silence, please”] , Best Director [“Silence, please” ], Best Lighting Design [“Repot (Mind+Mine)], Best Set Design [“Silence, please”], Best Music and Sound Design in [“Silence, please” ], & Best Original Script (Bahasa Malaysia) [“VV(WIP)”]
